Whoa! No way. This goes far beyond the previous trades. I'm sorry. I don't wish to be rude. I have to say some of the past trades were not good for the league, and this one goes way too far.
Two mid to late round picks could be low 5.0 or even 4.0 in this league. We only have five 5.0 prospects in the current draft pool.
Can we at least discuss?

This has nothing to do with your track record. I have only positive things to say about your ability as a GM and complimented you in the poll that discussed finances and arbitration.
This is about league parity and trade market responsibility. I'm a capitalist, but this lacks all social responsibility. I would argue that if you would have traded Bonds to me and none of your other players, you and I would have battled to represent the NL. That's the way it's supposed to work. You could have traded Bonds only to any team and been the #1 favorite in the NL. My team is older than yours and less talented on offense by a lot.
I respectfully disagree with your decision to rebuild with a team in their late 20s and early 30s, and think it will negatively affect the balance of the league for at least 5 seasons.
Regardless or the trade market, Rivera is worth far more than two 4.0 prospects. Williams is worth far more. Piazza is worth far more. Even your great relievers were throw-ins.
I could accept your trade offer, but feel it would be hypocritical of me until this is fully put to rest.
Nothing but respect for you as a GM. But this is horrible for the league and unfair.

My team was going to walk to the WS barring major injuries. All I really had to do was cut valenzuela and cone and trade my 1st for more cash. Then I could have kept Bonds and my team in tact. You are right, I'm dealing guys in their prime which is going to swing the league. But I've already started the process, you can't stop it in the middle. Once I moved Piazza my mind was made up. I'll rebuild under the new guidelines and make sure my next dynasty has plenty of cash in the bank.

This type of firesale for pennies on the dollar can preface a departure...but as long as he remains active, I'm of the opinion that he can do what he wants with his team, though I do agree these trades are well below market and dealing Piazza and Rivera to the same team will upset the balance quite a bit.

weaker than what? I never made you an offer for Rivera or Piazza...the offer I made through the site was a better deal for your team than any you've accepted thus far during your firesale

No professional sport would ever allow this to occur.
