Seattle sends: 1st round supplemental draft pick (#22 overall)
Detroit sends: $32 million
Mariners accept. Needed some financial flexibility after landing a few FAs and Tartabull coming back on his fat arby deal. Thanks to Tigers for easy deal and good luck this season.
Please top off in-game cash and put rest in bank.

Another one... $32M!!??!! !! for a supplemental pick! What is the precedent on $ for picks? IIRC, I don't think it's more than 8-12M... and that was for a very good prospect/player.

Don't recall such a precedent. I do know that the value of cash in the league has gone down over the seasons as teams banked more and more...some guys have 9 figures in the bank with nothing to spend it on.
