You could take the opportunity to correct his age?

Drafted in 1999, allstar/silver slugger/4th in MVP voting in 2001. Resume sells itself I'd say.

You could take the opportunity to correct his age? That's his DOB.

You could take the opportunity to correct his age? That's his DOB. That's his stated DOB, but he's almost certainly been lying about it his entire career...it is more likely he was actually born in 1977 or 1978

Maybe I overrated? I try to give them ratings that give them a chance to produce like they did in RL the same year they did in RL. Pujols comes out so hot I wanted to give him that shot haha Naw it helps to have some close, especially the marquee ones. When I first joined the league I traded away all the 1s and 2s prospects and it backfired though lol 8.7.3

Yeah, I have no problem with his high actual ratings given that he was so good so soon after being drafted, but I agree with White Sox that we should take this opportunity to correct his age...I think he should be 20 (born in 1978), keeping everything else the same. This is based primarily on his own inadvertent admission a couple years ago in an interview that he was several years older than he'd previously said (confirming most people's suspicions).
What does everyone else think? Should we take a poll before the draft starts?

is the proposal to guess at his real age?

Or to select the age we're willing to have him come in at in VAV, which will be more accurate than what the Angels are currently using if we push it back even 1 year.
The consensus based on a number of factors, including his own personal statements, appears to be that he is either 2 or 3 years older than he says he is (born in '77 or '78, instead of '80). I was agreeing with White Sox that this is a good opportunity to make him more realistic and I was proposing just making him 20 (1978) and calling it a day, but I'm open to a vote if some people just want to leave him an unrealistic 18 year old monster that he never was.

I was speaking in jest, no issue keeping his stated age.

If it's just me, I'm fine letting it go...but I figured I wasn't the only one who wanted to increase accuracy where we could
